To generate high quality image need to have an expert processing geophysicist and also processing software to produce a coherent reflector and good image. PSTM (pre stack time migration) or Time Imaging is standard processing in time domain that would pass some steps until migration in time domain. Pre Stack Data would describe more realistic waveform and subsurface condition than Post Stack Data.
Pre-Stack Depth Migration (PSDM) or Depth Imaging is the best method to describe “the real“subsurface condition. In Time Imaging, we offen get problem when finding lateral velocity variation, dipping area with many faults, and complex geological structure. With Depth Imaging we could solve all problems in Time Imaging.
